As a lifelong Libertarian, Lana Leguía is built for this fight. Leguía is a battle-tested organizer who cannot be bought, coerced, or intimidated into submission—qualities severely lacking in American leadership today. Facing political corruption head-on in New Jersey, she brings proven experience navigating dense government bureaucracy and standing as a fearless, singular voice in a sea of partisan opposition. Unfazed by political pressure, Leguía remains relentlessly committed to breaking down state control and restoring true liberty to the people.
Lana is a political organizer, activist, and community leader whose rich global heritage and background drive her commitment to liberty. Born in Saudi Arabia—the great-granddaughter of former Peruvian President Augusto B. Leguía and daughter of Vietnam-era Air Force veterans—she was raised in a family defined by military service and resilience. Inspiring her worldview, her mother defied local prohibitions to open a dance studio in Saudi Arabia, where public dancing was illegal. Homeschooled alongside her brother (now a Navy Lieutenant Commander), Leguía spent time in Texas working as a personal trainer, EMT, and fitness instructor before settling in Sussex County, New Jersey with her husband, whose family operates the historic Black Forest Inn.
Currently serving as the Secretary General for the International Alliance of Libertarian Parties, Director of Political Affairs for the New Jersey Libertarian Party, and Chair of its North Region, Leguía has spearheaded candidate recruitment and state-level organizing. Recognized as the 2025 Activist of the Year by the Liberty Policy Alliance, she combines her political work with a deep commitment to her local community through volunteer efforts with the Canal Society of New Jersey and historical societies. Outside of activism, she is an ethical breeder, trainer, and musher of Siberian Huskies, while also raising chickens and rabbits at her home in Sussex County.
